What is the meme
Gugugaga Penguin is a viral AI-generated meme based on the Endministrator (Endmin) character from Arknights: Endfield by Hypergryph. The character's black-and-white outfit with yellow shoulder accents already resembled an emperor penguin, so fans started calling them "the penguin" — and someone took it the natural next step: chibi versions babbling baby-like "gugu gaga" sounds.
The first version appeared on Bilibili in February 2026 and spread to Douyin, TikTok, and X within two weeks. By March, there were Palworld mods, plushies, multiple landing pages chasing the search traffic, and at least one unresolved copyright dispute over the meme format.
